Our design studio has a social mission: to explore innovative solutions for affordable and sustainable housing, with a particular focus on multigenerational living. With housing costs and interest rates on the rise, we believe that it's crucial to address these issues, and our studio aims to provide viable solutions. Our latest project is a proposal for duplex and triplex dwellings, which could accommodate larger families and help ease the affordable housing crisis. This project was the capstone of my Bachelor of Design degree, and I'm proud to have contributed to this important cause.
This design studio focuses on the context of a library, exploring ways to repurpose digitized technologies in innovative and sustainable ways. Our proposal includes utilizing the heat from data servers to power hydro-heated slab technology for the library. The site location is situated in Little Bourke Street in Melbourne's China town on a vacant parking lot. Completed during COVID-19 as part of my Bachelor of Design degree at the University of Melbourne in 2020, this project aims to challenge traditional approaches and explore new solutions.
Our studio specializes in technical building design, with a focus on interpreting and implementing engineering drawings into the design process. One of our recent projects involved the Western BACE building, where we worked with architects and engineers to create detailed design plans. This Reflective Journal (RJ) was created as part of the Epsilon subject during my final semester of university. It is a collection of curated artefacts that describe my profile and identity, including my development over time. Unlike a traditional portfolio, the focus is on reflection and the learning journey, rather than simply showcasing design skills and competencies.
